Spooky Spiders - Save & Sort

Here's an easy but fun Halloween activity! Grab a colander and string some spooky yarn through the holes, criss-crossing to make a "web." Add different colored plastic spiders (these were from the Target dollar section), set out some sorting bowls, and hand your little one some tongs! Aaron literally grabbed this out of my hand, sat down on the floor, and started pinching the spiders, saving them, and sorting them by color! You can also have your little one count as they go, either how many spiders total or how many of each color.

It's so easy to set up, and it helps them develop fine-motor skills, color recognition, and their counting skills!
