Easter Egg Hunt Sensory Bin

Writer's picture: The Little ThingsThe Little Things

This is a fun little spin on your classic rice sensory bin. While coloring speckled eggs, we dyed our rice green and I threw it into our sensory bin. The green rice now looks like grass, the perfect setting for an egg hunt!

If you have small eggs, Easter erasers, or anything else tiny, hide them in the rice and then have your kiddos sit down and find them all!

If you want your toddler to practice counting, tell them how many eggs/toys are hidden and have them count as they go.

After finding all of the hidden eggs/toys, you can use the regular plastic Easter eggs as scoops. It's also fun to fill the eggs with rice and turn them into shakers! This was a hit with Olivia (17 months). I added the egg carton too to the bin as another item to fill and dump. Both Aaron (3 years) and Olivia loved this activity!
